Check inside your computer if the USB cable is connected to your motherboard. If you're using branded computer like Dell, go to BIOS by pressing F2 then enable front usb port.

Hey! It's easy to sync dvd to your Sony Walkman.

Usually, DVDs have some protections such CSS protection or region code protection which prevent users making copy of DVDs freely. But there are some DVD Ripping software which can remove these protections and rip DVDs to some common videos for playback on PMPs including songy Walkman you have mentioned.

As far as I know that Sony Walkman only accepts MP4 video, so you can rip dvds to MP4 videos.

I'd like to share with you such a DVD Ripping tool which I had a good luck. The DVD Ripping tool I am using is Wondershare DVD Ripper Platinum which can convert DVDs into various kinds of videos including MP4, WMV, AVI, etc.

I think you can have try of it. Hope that helps.

No, unless you remove the DRM (digital rights management.) To do this you have to burn the songs on a CD, then load them, name the CD something else. The DRM prevents any music being used for another device other than an ipod. You might want to check this out at PC World.com (search)

Did you purchase the accessories pack for it. When I purchased my Sony Ericsson Walkman phone i had to purchase the pack separately. It comes with the CD-Rom program that you use to transfer music and also the usb cable that is needed. It costed about 30 from best buy. They should have told you what you needed when you bought it.

If you did buy the accessory pack then you just add the program to your computer and the music that you have saved on your computer you just select the tracks you want to upload and transfer.
