I have an ipod nano, and its third generation. I heard from a friend that its possible to download songs on an ipod for free and without using itunes. If you know how to download songs on to an ipod nano 3rd generation, can you post your answer here?

I got a 8gb Nano for Christmas and I wanted to know if there are any accessories you think I HAVE to own. I already have a case for it and a usb power adapter (wall charger) is there anything else you think I need?????????????

So whats the difference between the 1st generation and the 2nd generation of the iPod touch? I don’t know if there is a 3rd generation but if there is whats the difference of that too. K, thanks!
